Akeley Wood School is a vibrant, co-educational day school for children aged 1 to 18, set across three beautiful campuses in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

š One thing weāre especially proud of? This year, Akeley students raised an incredible Ā£6,500 for charityāa reflection of the heart, compassion and values that define our school community.
š A special shout-out to Stuart House, whose āSponge the Teacherā fundraiser at this weekās Summer Fayre raised Ā£1,563 for Teenage Cancer Trust and Harryās Rainbow, which supports bereaved children. What an impact!

This Tuesday, our Akeley Wood community came together for an unforgettable summer evening at Woodfestāa joyful celebration of music, talent and togetherness.
It was a chance for our young musicians to take to the stage, sharing their hard work and creativity with friends, families and staff in the most vibrant way. From vocals to instrumentals, they performed with confidence, courage and joyāwhat a way to end the year!
šØ As well as music, families enjoyed a stunning art exhibition showcasing the imagination and talent of our Art students.
The music and art were just the startā¦ With BBQ, ice cream, inflatables, face gems, and Akeley honey from our Young Enterprise team, the evening captured everything we love about our schoolācreativity, community and celebration.
A huge thank you to our brilliant Music teachers for helping our students shine, to Chartwells for the fantastic food and to all staff who gave their time and energy to make the event such a success.

Learning Through Play in Akeley Reception!
From mixing magical potions in our outdoor area to role-playing stories, painting masterpieces, and building early maths skills with hands-on activitiesālife in Reception at Akeley Wood is full of imagination, curiosity and joy.
Our Reception children are busy every day exploring the world around them, guided by the EYFS framework and our nurturing staff. Through creative play and purposeful learning, they develop the confidence, independence and foundation skills that prepare them beautifully for Year 1 and beyond.

STEM Careers Take Flight at Akeley
Today, our Year 10 and Year 12 students were treated to an incredible visit from the Schools Aerospace Careers Programmeāexperts in AI, flight training, robotics and digital simulation.
From an AI-powered robotic dog that adapts its movement in real time, to immersive VR aviation experiences and 3D drawing tools, students explored how cutting-edge tech is shaping the future of STEM careers.
āI really enjoyed using the VR 3D drawing tool to design a battleship. Iām interested in joining the Navy, and this showed me how useful VR could be for training.ā ā Year 12 Student
"The VR flight simulation was so realistic. I learned a lot from this and hope to have more experiences like this again.ā ā Year 10 Student
One Year 12 student discussed a powerful point: āWhile AI is opening up opportunities in tech, itās also replacing many creative roles in the arts. Thatās something to seriously consider when thinking about careers.ā
