A-Level Results

Once students leave us at the end of Year 13, we want to ensure that they are ready for their first job, university or apprenticeship interview and have the confidence and strength of character needed, as well as an excellent set of results, to stand them in good stead for their next adventure beyond school.

We are incredibly proud of all our graduates who have worked tirelessly to achieve tremendous results in their A-Levels. Each student’s journey at Akeley Wood School has been unique, and their success stories are a testament to their dedication, talent, and the supportive environment we strive to create.

We are thrilled to highlight some remarkable achievements in individual subjects where the average grade was a B or above. Our students particularly excelled in Further Mathematics, Physics, and Languages, reflecting their commitment and passion across these challenging disciplines. Results to Celebrate

Will

Will joined Akeley Wood School in Year 6 and has been an integral part of our music community ever since. With his passion for music, he will be taking his talents to BIMM University in Bristol, where he will specialise in performing on the keys and learning music production. Will credits the numerous opportunities at Akeley, such as Woodfest and our annual music competitions, for helping him hone his performance skills.

Jasmin

Jasmin joined Akeley Wood School in Year 4 and has shown a keen interest in technology and engineering throughout her time here. With remarkable scores of 3 A*s and an A, she will be taking the next step in her educational journey by studying Robotics Engineering at the University of Bath—a field in which she is sure to excel.

Harry

Harry has achieved an outstanding four A grades including an A in his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Having been with Akeley Wood School since Year 4, Harry is now heading to Bristol University to study Mechanical Engineering. His exceptional results reflect his hard work and determination over the years.

Macy

Macy has been a part of our school community since Year 7 and is now excited to begin her studies in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Gloucester. Macy's journey at Akeley Wood School has been marked by her commitment to both her academic and athletic pursuits.

Freddie

Freddie has been with us since Year 9 and is now set to pursue his passion for music production at university. His time at Akeley Wood School has prepared him well for the next chapter in his musical journey, and we look forward to seeing what he will accomplish.

Joel

Joel started his Akeley journey in Year 1 and has grown into a remarkable young man. With impressive results of 2 A*s, an A, and a B, he will be attending the University of Exeter to study Law—a testament to his academic dedication and the strong foundation he built here at Akeley.

2022 Award

"A £1m undertaking, the new Sixth Form AW6 site opened in Sept 21 at Tile House Mansion, a grand Victorian estate roughly 15 minutes from the Senior School. With a palpable campus-like feel (no uniforms and purely 17-18 year olds) it offers something very different to most day school Sixth Forms in the area. No surprise that Akeley Wood was judged Highly Commended in our Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Awards 2022 in the ‘Special Sixth Form’ category."
