The AW6 Approach.

The stand-alone nature of AW6 allows us to have a culture where independence is encouraged. You will take responsibility for your learning and progress, just as you would at university or in your first job. Here, however, there will always be the support of your personal tutor and mentors to keep you on track.

The exciting new investment into facilities at AW6 has recently been completed and features dedicated spaces for each subject area, including a brand new Media Suite, fully-equipped Creative Arts Studio and a Music Technology recording studio, along with newly refurbished science laboratories and classrooms complete with Smartboard technology.

There are also plenty of silent and group study spaces, social spaces, common rooms and the onsite café for however you choose to spend your time during free periods, all with a Pre-U approach in mind, and with the aim to develop independence and encourage collaborative learning.

Our academic offer is strong thanks to a dedicated team of teaching professionals and a varied range of A Level subjects. Each September our academic offer and option blocks adapt to meet the demand of those students wishing to join us, who generally have over 20 subjects to choose from.

You will also have access to an expert team of UCAS coaches and mentors who can support you in Oxbridge, BMAT, degree apprenticeship programmes and career options. Our Future Ready programme and team at AW6 will give you all the tools and guidance you need to develop into a highly employable young adult.

"A £1m undertaking, the new Sixth Form AW6 site opened in Sept 21 at Tile House Mansion, a grand Victorian estate roughly 15 minutes from the Senior School. With a palpable campus-like feel (no uniforms and purely 17-18 year olds) it offers something very different to most day school Sixth Forms in the area.
