Once students leave us at the end of Year 13, we want to ensure that they are ready for their first job, university or apprenticeship interview and have the confidence and strength of character needed, as well as an excellent set of results, to stand them in good stead for their next adventure beyond school.
Our all-encompassing Future Ready programme and A-Level curriculum does just that, as students continue to achieve more than they ever thought possible. View the latest A-Level results and university destinations.

A-Level Results
AW6 students have once again demonstrated remarkable resilience and academic excellence this year. They have not only achieved excellent A-Level results with 100% pass rate but are also heading off to their first-choice institutions across the country and securing highly sought-after apprenticeships. This year group has shown incredible perseverance, navigating the uncertainties of the past few years with determination and success.
This year's results also highlight the hard work put in by all our students, with a particular success story from Isabella Verona. Izzy, a resilient and determined student, defied the odds by achieving brilliant A* A-Level results in English Literature and Media despite battling the chronic illness, ME. Her journey, marked by unwavering determination, has led her to stay on at Akeley Wood School, taking up roles in wrap-around care and social media posting. We are delighted to share that in August Izzy will be starting a journalism apprenticeship at the BBC!
Izzy’s story is a testament to her unrelenting dedication and the incredible support from her parents and the Akeley Wood School community. Her achievements not only reflect her academic excellence but also her strength of character, making her a true inspiration to all. We are excited to continue supporting Izzy as she aspires to a creative career in journalism and film, embodying the spirit of perseverance and ambition.
